One Year Ago Today Peacefully you lied sleeping When a bright light shone your way, Visible to your eyes only One year ago today. Calmly you walked towards it With no fear of being alone, Because waiting were the Angels To carry you to heavens home. Their comforting arms were wrapped around you As they laid you down to sleep, Ending your suffering and pain So at last you could rest in peace. Left behind were your loved ones Who’s pain had only just began, Getting through life without you Is just as hard, one year on. My memories have kept me going And believing your still here in some way, But if it's possible I miss you more. Than when you left a year ago today. You are always in my thoughts With memories keeping you alive in every way, I will continue to carry you in my heart Until we meet again one day. On this sad day last year our lives changed forever and will never be the same again. xxxx
