Sam took part in her 3rd Race for Life in 2007 despite major health problems. She was awaiting Gammaknife surgery to her brain for a persistent tumour, and was on a large amount of medication. She managed to complete the circuit in about an hour with my daughter Hannah. I was so proud of her on this day, but also so worried because I knew she was very unwell. She raised over £2000 for Cancer Research. I only hope I am blessed with half the courage Sam showed given the same challenges. She really was a true inspiration to us all.
